The new Buick Enclave was first introduced to the public in 2007 and sold as a 2008 model. Prior to that, it had been previewed at the 2006 North American International Auto Show and it was the first car to feature the GM’s then new Lambda platform. It was a car that was intended to replace Buicks two minivan based family cars – the Randezvous and Terraza and it did that quite successfully. The new Buick Enclave will be only the second iteration of the popular SUV and it is said that the new model will hit the market somewhere in mid 2015 and be sold as a model.
The new Enclave will feature a full redesign, compared to the previous model. At the front, the new model will feature a large gaping waterfall grille, which will take the most space on the front fascia. The grille will be considerably larger than on the previous model, but its size and shape fits well on the new model. Headlights will be somewhat larger, as well, featuring an elongated shape with sharp edges. The front bumper will be restyled as well, as the enormous for lights are now gone, while the new sleek looking LED lamps took its place. The back of the new Enclave hasn’t been changed much. The taillights kept the same design lines, with their size slightly increased. The rear bumper is a little bigger and the new model also features a new set of rectangular shaped exhaust pipes at the bottom.
The interior of the new Buick Enclave will be bursting with luxurious details. The beautifully designed large but elegant steering will with wooden top and bottom is spotted right of the bat. It will diverge from standard three spoke design and introduce 4 spikes with some control switches between them, subtly placed not to disturb the elegance. Leather coated dashboard accompanied with wooden elements at each door panel with contrast chrome parts just look stunning. HVAC vents are unusually shaped, featuring an oval design and are placed at each side of the board, while the two central ventilation openings form an arc and are located just above the LCD display. The cabin is quite spacious and seats are large and comfortable, with a lot of room between the driver’s seat and the steering wheel.
